I think you meant the kicker compVR, or also the apline type R, rockford p3. thats if you want to go with one sub.... if you want to go with 2... look at the apline type S or the kicker comp or the rockford P2

tyler how do you like your AQ 12 by the way?
and to be honest, having my 2 10'' kicker comp vr's (super old ones) were almost as loud as my single AQ 10.
and for years i ran those kickers hard and probably a lot of clipped signals and still sound great and work for my computer system.

What size box do you have? are you keeping it?--- thats only one important factor when deciding on a sub..
I could put a $10 sub in its recommended enclosure and have it sound better then a $500 sub in a wrong sized box.
you guys can't just throw some names around and expect it to sound good. Many factors come in to play. there are many low cost subs that would blow many of the above subs out of the water. provided its properly powered in a proper box...
what sub are you running now? what size box do you have? (specifics) there are things you can do with what you have right now. whats your lowpass crossover set at? subsonic filter on? what Mids are you running? whats the highpass set at for those?
I think too many people are hanging out at SSA forums from the looks of the recommendations.
