XM radio help.

Well a few days ago I got my boyfriends old XM radio and I got rid of the one that I had. He gave me the one that hooks directly into the pioneer radio. I was hooking it up yesterday in a garage and when I took it out in the driveway I found that the XM wants to take over everything. When I put a cd on the cd is in the background but the XM is on with it, and it's louder. I had to call yesterday to have them switch service from one unit to the other and I had to sit on the hold for an hour only to talk to a lady who couldn't speak english. So I wanted to see if anyone knows how I could fix this problem before I call them again. I finally got so mad at it last night that I yanked the fuse out. Also, when it is on I can't seem to control the volume. It has two settings, off, and really loud. So if anyone could help me that would be great, I don't feel like calling India again and talking to a lady who has no idea what's going on. Thanks.

Sara, you can switch service online and that's they way they have set it up to be normally. Doing it by phone is a service they offer for when it's absolutely necessary. You just sign on your XM account and you can manage a bunch of radios and move the "license" back and forth between them if you want.

Go have a look at the website and check it out -- it's a LOT easier when you learn it.

I had older unit it used antenna lead and IMHO was alot easier to deal with. I sold it to my parents they travel way more then me now. But you can maybe talk to someone at install shop. They are usually willing to give a little help.
