I tried a couple different types of waxes for acid rain on my windshield and windows, and no I did not have good results. Have you tired very fine steel wool?

I know, I thought the same thing about the steel wool. I started with the ultra fine first and it works okay. Next I am going to try the next step up.

Have you gone to a windshield repair shop to see what they recommend?

take and spend the money and have it fix professional so you don't end up costing yourself more money

I used to work in an automotive glass distributer center...we'd save soooooo many windshields by polishing the blemishes in the glass using basically a grinder with a small polishing wheel and rubbng compound. i'm sure you can do it using a rag and rubbing compound...

Throw a rock at your windshield, go through insurance to replace it, presto......new windshield with no scratches.
