I'd say that you are correct. The OP can confirm by checking the 2 wires in that connector - color codes for the IAC would be red and white/light blue.

That part is 60 bucks and I did not want to waste funds on that, IF i had to replace the engine. junk yard engines come with most of the stuff still attached.

Just wondering as to why would you want to run without the IAC valve... If you're having idle issues because of it, have you tried cleaning it? Have you checked all vacuum hoses for leaks?

I bought the truck not running. Back story as to why was the engine may be no good from setting up. It had no battery and not IAC. I went and got battery and ordered the part.

Well, I guess we could have elaborated on "how" the truck will run without an IAC and not so much "will" it. Sure, it'll start and choke, but the component that regulates the air passing by the close off throttle body is not allowing the proper amount to go through thus, choking the engine. Idles will go up and down and be erratic until you open up the throttle, then all is fine....but let the throttle close and you'll choke off the motor and start the idle jump again.

You can try to spray brake cleaner in the IAC to free up the spring that is most likely gunked up with carbon. This may give you some more time until you get the new part, but may not work if the spring is jammed up too badly.

What spring? I did not have a IAC at all, none. Was gone when I bought the truck.

I put the part on and trucks cranks and runs a little better. Has what I would call a miss. Not sure what it could be, but did run long enough to hear no bad noises, like rods or other grinding.
Truck sat for 2 years and not moved. Has 116k miles.
I am going to pull the plugs tomorrow and see what they look like.
