Gear indicator
The gear indicator is off. When in Park, the needle is between P & R. in drive
the needle is between D & 2. Will not go into low gear using shifter on my
2008 Ranger-2.3 with automatic transmission. How do I adjust it?

This is a common issue on all ford trucks, because they all use the same setup, Ranger, Explorer or F-series

Quite a few Videos and articles on how to fix it
