New U joints on...

well i got under my truck and decited to start looking around to what some of the noises i have comeing from the truck are....well i noticed the u joints on my drive shaft were both broken front and back...so i went and picked a set up and replaced them...well now some of the noises are gone the only thing i have left is in the front end of the truck...im thinking Tie Rods, or ball joints...i think im going to take my truck into the dealership with haveing 2000 miles left on my warrenty...so hopefully they can fix the front end....

Yeah when my ball joints went bad, (not knowing what the problem was) I took it to the dealer to get it looked at and they said my tie rods needed replacement when in actuality the ball joints we're badly torn up, so be weary of what the dealer tells you..

Would you mind summarizing what you did to replace the U-joints? I'm doing that this weekend...

Yeah I got mine changed out too...made a HUGE difference in the amount of driveline noise I was hearing!

Nothin to it either, just loosen some bolts and drop it down, bang around with a hammer and sockets, and it's done!
