First and foremost....you should have someone knowledgeable with differentials do the install. You are changing the carrier.....with changing the carrier, you need to check the backlash and the tooth meshing of the ring gear and pinion gear....moving of the carrier left or right may be needed and requires the use of shims. This requires special tooling and previous experience. You dont want to roast your teeth and fall apart in chunks because of improper install do you?
I use Copper RTV silocone....color of the silocone really doesn't matter at all....it's all the same stuff.
You want to lay a thin bead like pictured, then start the top bolt. I like to tighten from the top down. Top hand tight, then the next two, the next two below that, and so on. then go back and give it a 1/2 turn in the same order as the prelim tightening. Idk why I do it, it's just how I've always done it.
