has it been making a thud noise when you pound the throddle and felt like something was slipping?

cranking the torsion bars is not a "lift" and it will not wear out your driveshaft. Is yours even 4wd? If not, the torsion bars have nothing to do with wearing out your rear driveshaft.

My truck gets some gear lash... happened with the old one too. Could be what you're getting.
