Some suggestions Please...
My rear - end has a small leak..
And i just talked to a friend about re-doing my gears...
Going back to 3.55, dont ask why, i have my reasons...
I raced coy the other night, and we had the same shift points, at the same speed,
All i really noticed, was the rpm bieng higher at high speeds, and i dont like it at all...
So, i got a friend to do my gears for me.
I just want to know, what fluid do you guys suggest...
Price is no concern. Thanks..

I'm using (no surprise) Amsoil 80W90 "Series 2000" gear oil. There's a new name for it, and it's been reformulated, but I forget what they call it now. With that in my diff, I need no friction modifier -- but you don't need it anyway, as Dave mentioned.. The friction modifier is just for clutch-type limited slips.

Yes, but only when I change it. As it stands, I just change it yearly. I went 19K last time and that was the end of the year. I'm due in the late spring of this year to change it again.
Go to Amsoil and you can buy it direct. I'm not selling right now, I just did the preferred customer thing. I'll get it for local people at a discount, but I can't get it shipped to you that way. If you're going to change everything over, it's worth having the preferred customer discount (it's substantial). You can often get a trial membership for 6 months for $10 to $20 (I forget how much, sorry). Go to Amsoil's website http://www.amsoil.com and see what you can find.
Or, find a dealer in your area. Considering where you are NOW, that might be difficult! On the Amsoil site, I believe you can search for a local dealer.

I agree it's a GREAT oil -- but I haven't heard it advertised for extended drain intervals.
