what years did the explorer get the 4.0 SOHC?

and also would the trans out of a 4wd 4.0 explorer work in my truck? (if i cant get mine fixed under warranty)

found a few for sale locally, even found a manual for 200 bucks!

i know the 99 expo's had the ohc in them

 

but the 99's also had the 4.0...matter a fact they went as far back as 97
