preformance clutch?

preformance clutch?
so I got this explorer about 2 weeks ago and the clutch went out on me all of a sudden, the stick feels really loose while in gear and it was fighting with me to get into gear, and almost dies in idle with the clutch on.
so I'm trying to have it done somewhere else because I don't have the resources here to do it
so i came across this:

Its a performance clutch, but is it worth the extra 150 bucks or should I just get a stock replacement?

Sounds like the clutch isn't the problem. The slave cylinder tends to be the culprit. If you are just driving it on the street I would get a stock replacement. Go on ebay and search for the seller "Clutch City Online." They have good prices on stock replacement clutches and other associated parts.

I have an exedy twin disc clutch in my car. I've done quite a few clutch jobs and driven cars with performance clutches and trust me when I say, they are a pain in the rear to drive. I have to raise the revs quite a bit when I let off in first otherwise I'll stall because its so sticky. You don't want to upgrade to a stronger clutch unless you are getting torque slippage.

Don't buy a performance clutch if you don't have the power to justify it.

thanks for the info, I'm gonna call around tomorrow and have it priced to be done professionally, I don't have the time or resources needed for this one
I took it down my road and onto a main road and when I was shifting from 2nd to 3rd it wouldn't go into 3rd and i fought it into 4th then it happened again when I pulled onto the road for school, and it got worse to the point where when i was driving home I starting in 2nd and running stops and when it idled it almost stalled and sounded like it was grinding.

took it to a professional today, hes gonna do everything for 610 assuming the slave isn't leaking. if so then the price will jump to 760..but that's still cheaper than the next lowest price.
on a side note, even if you keep your foot off the floor in a firebird it still drinks gas and i'm driving the v-6
