Creaking From Front End

ok since ive been home in ny my truck started making all kinds of creaking noises coming from the passenger side front end, when driving in a straight line it will occasionally do it when you hit a bump, at slower speeds is when it tends to be louder, when the wheel is to the right it seems to make more noise as compared to turning left but it still makes noises going that way, if i drive down the road at about 10-15mph and move the wheel side to side it makes a ton of noise, now i just cant figure out what could possilbly be making the noises, i want to say shocks just cause its easy and somewhat cheap and they have been prob needed to have been replaced for awhile now, im really thinking that being up here in the colder weather is def having an effect on it, if any one has any suggestion on what to spray some wd-40 on or possibly if i have to change out please let me know, thanks.......

check the lower ball joints too. they can get really noisy. have you tried bouncin on the front of the truck to see if it makes noise parked? that will help locate the noise alot.
