Question on Explorer...

Hey guys, I came across a killer deal today on a 91 Explorer 4 door. It has the 4L V6 and an Auto tranny. Not 100% Sure if it is 4WD or 2WD. It has 90K miles on it (impressive huh?? lol) and I am getting it for $500. It does run and drive but they said the Reverse doesnt work in it and the tranny leaks fluid. I have not seen the truck yet (my brother looked at it and found it). He wants to buy it from me after I fix it if I want to sell it to him.
Anyways, My question to you guys is What do yall think could be going on with it?
Also, Can yall give me all the information you can on this thing?

Thanx in advance,
Jonathan

Yeah, I am gonna get it I just want to see if this might be a common problem or issue with the Reverse not working.
Im sure the tranny leak is just a gasket or something small and easy.
What kind of Trannies come in the Explorers?
