Strange noise?
Hey I am planning on taking my truck into the shop soon to have some work done. But, I wanted to get some opinions before hand and hopefully some reasons for some of the issues I am having.
First of all:
'93 Ford Ranger--Everything stock(Transmission replaced once)
2.3l 4-cyl 5 speed
177,000 miles
When I make a sharp turn (like in a cul-de-sac) I hear a strange "mhhhm mhhhm mhhhm" noise almost like something is rubbing, but it doesn't seem like it. I hear the noise throughout the turn and if a make a turn after that (like at an intersection.) But, only in those two turns and not anytime after. Also, I have only experienced this noise while making a sharp left turn, followed by a right turn onto another street (I haven't tried the opposite since that wouldn't quite work on my street.)
Also, the clutch pedal has been rather stiff and hard to depress recently. I have heard that some cars have springs to make the clutch pedal easier to depress and I was curious if Rangers have this spring (my guess is if there is one it's weak or broken.) If not, then I probably just need some fluid or lube. I am pretty sure that the transmission isn't going because I haven't come across any slippage.
Any thoughts or suggestions are greatly appreciated.
Thank you!

That does sound like it. I was just thinking that this morning after driving to a class and back. I have noticed the noise turning both left and right. Though, today I only heard it making a right turn and only the first couple of times.
As for the clutch, that is what I was thinking too. I am glad, none of these things are expensive or time consuming to have replaced. Which is always good, thankfully I have another car I can drive.
Thanks for you pointers, I will mention these things when I take the car in tomorrow. :D Thanks again!
