clutch?

Ok so here it goes lastnight while at my friends hunting camp we encountered a little sand i was rocking my truck between 1st,2nd,and reverse when the clutch started slipping. So as embarrasing as it was I had my buddy pull me out in his tacoma. well when I pressed the clutch in it sounded like something was rattling around in the tranny almost like a piece of metal bouncing around in there. Well we continued to drive around the property and it did fine no slipping hesitation softness in the pedal etc... just the noise that immediately went away when I let the clutch out. But then things went to $hit on the way home when I came to a stop sign and pressed the clutch pedal in and it was as if I had never pressed it (rpms didnt drop, it wouldn't come out of gear, and eventually stalled) well I put the transmission in 1st gear pressed the clutch and turned the key and the truck lurched forward with it being 2am and us being 30 miles from home I just jammed it through the gears til 4th and didnt stop or shift the rest of the drive home, thank God for rural roads at 2am that wasn't a real problem. I'm guessing my throwout bearing is toast so should I replace the whole clutch or just the throwout bearing or is that even an option the trucks a 3.0 with 102k hard miles double lifted on 33's (soon to be 35's) money is tight and id like too spend as little as possible I'm doing it myself and it's not my only mode of transportation so im not worried about pulling it apart and doing the throwout bearing only and having to repull it for a clutch in 10k miles. Any opinions are appreciated thank you in advance

BTW the pedal still feels the same no difference in pressure etc... and the clutch has only slipped one other time trying to break em loose on dry pavement
