You're going to get the same answers as last time you asked this question in your other thread.

There is no "Hurst Core" shifter.

Found this at ( www.core-shifters.com ) Uses their core base with a Hurst shifter handle and ball. Has no positive stops like the regular Hurst.
My question was if anyone has installed one of these. Think it might be better then just changing the handle to a FX_4. Does have the short throw and click, click shifting.

Just reading this, I wouldn't buy a shifter without adjustable stops.
My Shift Handle would hit the Radio Bezel without a stop and adjusted where I want it.

The FX4 vs the Hurst, are we talking just handles ?

Buy a Hurst Shifter Assembly with an extended Stick, you WILL NOT regret it, the shifts are smoother, the shifter slips in sssssoooo smooth you almost don't know you shifted a gear. The Hurst is so far a head of the Ford Shifter it isn't even funny how sloppy the Ford's are.

Every time I had my Truck inspected since I put in the Hust Assembly, the person that does the inspection calls my attention to how the truck shifts, far better than OEM ! I say thanks and tell them about the Hurst Shift Assembly and how I decided on the length and adapter plate mod.

If you have the money, consider the Hurst as MUST BUY ITEM !

p.s. I know nothing about the "Core" Shifter, stick to what is good and known, less problems that way !

Looked up Hurst Core Shifter, it isn't a Hurst, even though it has Hurst Parts. Some people don't like them but most seems to think they're ok.
I couldn't find out too much about them other than the parts are made by Hurst.
Now let me think on this, Hurst is making parts for someone else's Shifter that sells them against a Market that Hurst sells in... who says , besides me, that the parts aren't as good as the parts going in the Hurst Shifter ?
I don't think I have seen a spin-off part, made by any another company that is as good as the original but I've been wrong before and probably will be again !

It is IMHO... buy Hurst Billet not the Core.
I can't locate my paperwork on the Hurst Purchase so I can say what I bought, could be a Core... LoL, I've had it in for over 7 years soI don't think so !

Pay the price get the best ! Ltr

Yes I did check it out, did you read the part on "Core Shifters" where they say are not affiliated with Hurst, But they do use parts from Hurst ?

So you have 2 choices
1. Buy a Hurst Shifter.
2. Buy a Core Shifter that is made with parts they buy from Hurst and other suppliers.

What 2011 SuperCab said... !

I can tell you the all Hurst shifts nice, click, click and you are in the next gear but as I stated... buying a Spin-Off is asking for trouble unless you have 1st hand knowledge of the item.

Hey... buy what ever floats your boat, you are the one that will be driving it, you are the owner, so you own everything you do to it !
