Manual transmission w/lockrite behaviour

all I have is the stock ls on my truck and it has treated me fine but my truck is a auto. But my frined stangdroptop351 has limited slip front and rear and he said that he has to watch in the winter. He said that If hes not careful, his truck will just spin right around because of the traction. In addition, he has a manual.

PFFT! You wanna talk erratic, try front wheel drive only with a lockrite!
The nice thing about the lockrite is if you don't like it, take it out and put the stock pieces back in until you find something else.
With the lockrite and a stick, you will learn to drive smoothly, and be very deliberate with gas pedal. Coast around corners/depress the clutch. You'll be fine.

Having driven extensively in snow with a L/S for a number of years , starting from a full stop and cornering are the trickiest . Losing traction from a standstill the rear of the truck will tend to slip toward one side or the other , even on mostly level ground .
When cornering , if the front tires lose any traction , the truck will tend to "plow" , or go in a straight line the way the vehicle is pointing regardless of the direction the front tires are aimed.
