Icon4 Need help ASAP!

ok guys my seal to my trans pan is leaking so i got a new gasket and filter... but there is a shallow pan and deep pan... does anyone kno which one is use on the automatics?

my 02 should be no different than yours so i say the shallow pan

They're both for the automatics (obviously) but one is for 4x4 and the other is for 2wd. I just can't remember which one is which!

I believe deep is for the 4x4 vehicles, the pan has like a 2" round protrusion on the bottom. When I was at the junkyard, the 2wd ranger and explorer trannies had an almost flat pan.

Just look at your pan, if part of it sticks out lower, then its the deep filter. If the pan is mostly flat, then shallow filter.
