Clunk noise

Clunk noise
1993 4.0 5-Speed 2wd.
When you are moving, if you step on the gas, or let off the gas, you feel a clunk like gears "loading" or "unloading. it is a pretty noticable clunk though, it isnt just the rear end gears or something like that.
I just replaced the u-joints, midshift bearing, and rear axle and the clunk is exactly the same as it was before. any ideas?
i was thinking maybe internally int he trans or motormounts but any input is great

if you feel the clunk under you I'd check out the axle pivot bushing(?, I think thats the name of them). Mine are gone and whenever the truck leans side to side I'll get a clunk from it. Its not really anything bad yet as the bushings are still there just really really soft. It also messes with your alignment if they are bad. I plan on fixing mine when I lift it as I have to take everything apart anyways.
