*exhaust...To dump or not to dump?

I was considering dumping my exhaust for wheeling reasons, due to my BL & AAL, which I did not correct. Is it me, or does my exhaust hang a little low?
Personally I don't think it looks that bad, but I have heard the benefits of dumping it...*no hang up's wheelin', polishing tips lol. If I was to go through with it, I was gonna cut it past the rear axle. It's not gonna get crazy loud is it? Cause my Magnaflow sounds great as is. Anyway's just looking for your opinions/thoughts/experiences guys, Thanks.....

Did it sound bad? Let me see if I can find a pic without my mudflaps. Cause that is where I saw the difference IMO.

That looks pretty slick. I don\\\'t have access to a welder.....how much do you think a job like that
would run for at a muffler shop? I would think it wouldn\\\'t be too much.

It was pretty cheap for me. Since you already have the muffler, pipes, and tips, it would just be labor to cut and turn them out

I don't think it looks that bad the way it is. But I would think in front of the rear tire instead of dumping it.

Cool, looks good. If I was to go this route, IMO I think a SO tip might look a tad weird out the side. Actually, ghetto lol. Duel tips like what you have, would be the only way. What about shorty headers! lol jkn

Mine is dumped, but my old ranger sounded better with stock exit. I vote leave it, and keep polishing the tip.

Leave it where it is at. Dumping it in front of the tire will only be a worse hang up location when wheelin.

Dumping the exhaust isn't that bad. Mine is at the same spot as 1999fordranger's, but dumped and its been pretty good. Nice ROAR for a 3.0. It wouldn't hurt to try. But if you like it the way its is then ya its your truck your decision.

Very true. I was thinking that. If I was going to, I would stick with my original plan to dump it. Thanks.

Question. Do you ever plan on getting sliders? If so, the exhaust where mine is will be in the way. Unless you plan on getting sliders that will leave a space for the exhaust to be where mine is. Then you won't have to worry about crushing them

I plan on getting sliders some day, so I will have to figure out a new exhaust setup

Sliders would be a great addition no doubt. I recently found out a guy I work with, who has a Ranger, and apparently is on this forum(don\'t know his name on here). Anyways, he makes his own bumpers, sliders and what not. So I will be seeing if he can make me a set of sliders for a nice price. But ya, I see where your going with side exhaust and sliders. Very possible! BTW, my old sliders were my steps lol that I recently took off.
