going to try and paint my rims
I have read around on the forum and found a lot of threads on painted rims. i know i need to wire wheel them and then fine sandpaper for prep, however i still have a few questions. first is it better to take the tire off the rim and paint it or just tape the tire off and go for it? second iv herd of some people having problems with there beads leaking after painting rims. has anyone had this problem and if so how to you stop/avoid it from happening. Finally has anyone that has painted rims ever had a problem with them pealing and looking bad? and of course sugestions on color would be apreciated i saw the gun metal ones and they looked awsome
thanks
thanks

you wont have an issue with your bead seating/leaking if you leave the tire on.
painting the rims is a simple yet time consuming task. be prepared to spend all day on it, take your time and do it the right way. otherwise you'll be pissed about it later. trust me.lol i got mine powdercoated, but only b/c it didnt cost me a dime. what color are you thinking about going with the rims? and what color is your truck?
