Nah. I think that would look dumb. I never have been a big fan of gap guards. Cause your not filling it in. Your putting a piece of diamond plate, or sheet metal and i just have never like the look at all. If i was gunna fill the gap. I would cut off the brckets. Shorten the bumper to fit in the bedrails and move it up and maybe a little closer to the truck.

i like it, kinda the same idea as me i back into the trees lots too and i got tired of ****ing up the corners of my truck so i took the bumper off my s10 (4"x4" square tubing) and welded it on. for my license plate i drilled 2 holes and added two 7/16ths bolts and a couple of lock nuts to hold it on.
one thing i have found though is when your wheeling and you go into a ditch or something it bends the **** out of the licence plate mines all bent lol.
