I've been thinking of getting a led light bar to mount on the roof my 08. i would really rather drill the mounts into the door-seal area instead of on the roof. unfortunately i haven't found any kits for rangers that have about a 42" light bar. i see a lot of people that drill into their roof but i really don't want to risk it. does anybody have any ideas of where i can find a kit or at least the mounts?

carr makes light bars that mount in the way that you want. they have a gutterless mount that screws into the side of the cab in the door seal area and the bar mounts to that. the fitment guide only says 1983-1993, but it could work with later years.
