Plus its not just that they don't cover the whole tire, Mine did on my 04 and I still got grief about mud flaps. I am a Big Car guy. I look at cars all day long. I have car magazines coming out of my ear and unless someone mentions it, I have no idea if a car has Flaps or not. I don't even know if my Buick has them or not? I think not, but I honestly don't know. I do know my first one did because I melted it with hot rubber!

ha! i knew id get a response from yea! I was just messing with you. Your alway talking about your age and how you drive old man cars
when my truck was stock I ran the flaps as I didnt want chips either, but I compromised with big tires later :)

as a real oldster(LOL) here, my opinion is this: the mudflaps serve numerous purposes: to keep rocks from flying up into the car behind you and breaking their windshield and to keep your truck from getting all dinged up. also, many states have laws stating that all trucks must have rear mudflaps.
ive gotten several chips and cracked windshields from other vehicles that have mud flaps! they dont do any good! so you may as well roll without them. as for the law about flaps in the rear i could care less.
