mud flaps

i tried taking off my mudflaps yesterday but i have the stock fenderflairs and they look molded in. but i took it off and where it molds in there is a big hole in the side u cna see where it kinds hooks up to where it attaches to the flair. also i dont want to kick up rocks and scratch my paint.

so can i cut with like a ban saw or something like 5" up so the hold dosent show and it still protects a little.

this pic is also with my spacers on have to get the other up.

i think the band saw would be better then a dremel. after you are done you will want to sand it and try and make it look like it did before with the curves and stuff.

I trimmed mine up a little...

Here's how:

Ended up shaving about a 1/4 inch from the bottom just from hitting bumps and rubbing them!

Well, I took mine off, but I didn't have the flares... could you get some flares off like an FX4? I don't think they had the mudflaps molded into the flare...

i would go to the junk yard and get some that would fit there and cut those and not the ones on your truck, if the cutting goes good then put 'em on, if not then you know you didnt just make your truck look bad

i'd take them off, cut it roughly with a jig-saw, and then use a grinder to round off the edges

The FX4's and Edge's do not have molded mud flaps. I agree, go th the JY(or eBay) and grab some flares off of a FX4 or Edge. I took my flaps off and It looks alot better(see pics.) sorry, no pics with the flaps on.
