Change the rear brake light first...the mudflaps, being black, blend with the scheme. The red stands out like crazy.

Could go with a billet overlay to cover up a good amount of the red...

I really like them so far. Great all around tire. No road noise, and pulls well when needed. I now have 13,000 miles on them and no complaints.

Because it protects the paint from getting all those rock chips. If you like the looks without the flaps that is your choice. I hate rock chips.

Yes, I'm old.

LOL I bet we were born in the same decade (I'me 25)! I'm not exactly collecting Social security here! Don't judge me by my cars!

Plus its not just that they don't cover the whole tire, Mine did on my 04 and I still got grief about mud flaps. I am a Big Car guy. I look at cars all day long. I have car magazines coming out of my ear and unless someone mentions it, I have no idea if a car has Flaps or not. I don't even know if my Buick has them or not? I think not, but I honestly don't know. I do know my first one did because I melted it with hot rubber!

as a real oldster(LOL) here, my opinion is this: the mudflaps serve numerous purposes: to keep rocks from flying up into the car behind you and breaking their windshield and to keep your truck from getting all dinged up. also, many states have laws stating that all trucks must have rear mudflaps.

I don't like how they look but I would only leave them on because the tire likes to throw crap on the taillight and surrounding area.
