Door Removal Question

I have a second set of doors for my 96 to make half doors. I wanna switch back and forth between doors. My current doors, have power mirrors, locks, speakers etc. so they have a good amount of wires running too them. I've been told the disconnect is deep in the dash. 1. Is this true. 2. Has anybody ever made a quick release connector for their doors wiring for quick removal? Thanks for any info

i don't know, but i don't think it would be hard to make said connectors... drivers door should have... 16 wires, passenger side should have 8... passenger side i think it would work pretty well if you were to use a trailer connector of some sort, they come in 2 wire, 4 wire, 6 wire 10 wire and i think possibly other sizes... as for the drivers side, it's hard to say what to use... 16 wires is a LOT i don't know of any connectors that would do that easily...

they plug in right behind the kick panel. remove it, pull the rubber shield back, there's the plug.
