getting a door lock to match keys
Hey guys,
I was just wondering if it's possible to order a new door lock to match your keys.
I just bought a Ranger and the ignition keys won't unlock the drivers side door and it will unlock the passenger side door, so it's pretty obvious that the truck was in a wreck before, and they didn't use the lock from the damaged door.
I was just wondering if it's possible to order a lock that'll match your key.
Here's a pic of the lock I took out of the passenger door that is damaged beyond repair.

Not sure but the idea of the Lock Smith sounds good.
When I purchased my 98 a few years back, used w/>200K, the Driver’s Side Door lock didn’t work but because of non-use.
Sprayed in some Graphite for Locks (the one with the long tip on the spray can) and worked the key back and forth and it finally started working again.
The Wife took the 98 for her use and never uses the key on the locks either (Remote Locks) so they will be back to “Non-Working” soon.
Try some graphite in the little spray can and see.

But like Scrambler said, it could just be froze up because it wasn't used much.
I'll see what some WD-40 will do. Where do you buy the Graphite for Locks?
