Topper repaint Costs?

Okay, I know this has been well covered but I want to know what you guys have paid to repaint your topper (camper shells whatever). I can't find any good info in search and I decided to look into getting mine repainted as I just can't bring myself to spend the $1300 that the topper I want costs right now with things going not so well at work.

I bought all new hardware to fix the rusted out hardware on my topper and it functions fine now except it isn't color matched and that REALLY annoys me. I have been taking it on and off as needed so I don't have to look at it, but it is getting annoying so I just want to get it paint matched and wired up once and for all.

I was quoted $250 from a local guy that did some work on my moms car. That was for a topper for a Dodge as well.

Yeah should be really cheap because there's very little prep work involved, and painting it is the easy part.

Doesn't look bad how it is right now though. Atleast it's not like red or white or something garish.

I paid $250 for mine and that was a real good price, and that was at the dealer.

I got quoated 2-300.
DIY, it's not a really hard paint job. 100 bucks for a gun and 50 for paint.... and you get to keep the paint gun.
