161 LED's
161 LED's
Anyone know where I can get some 161 LED's? I ordered some 194's and what I thought were 161's. They came today and they were all 194's. I checked the website that I ordered them from and it had a list of comparable bulbs for the 161...194 being one of them. So here I am with a bunch of extra 194 LED's and a grand total of zero 161's. I want to get my new gauge cluster installed but I really don't want to rip the dash apart any more than I have to.
Do these 161 bulbs slide into a holder and lock into the back of the cluster?
If thats the case I have seen these, but have not checked dimensions to see if they fit.

You going to need to measure the sockets you have then check the specs on the technical drawing. They look like they are in millimeters. You will either need good eyes, or a metric caliper. Assuming these are out of the truck for measuring.
With out buying them, there really is no way to tell. I was going to swap the idiot lights over when i did the led conversion, but I didn't find these till after the fact.
Other option would be to mod the sockets you have with 12v leds. This is not fun. I burned my fingers a few times modding my theft light to blue.

161 and 194 both share the same "male" end. the plug. they are interchangable...like you can have 194s in your third brake light....but 194s never came in there. Gosh...i'm tired and this is hard to explain. lol.
I thought the 161 were the small cluster bulbs too. That link i posted is for the #74 leds, at a massive cost of 1.19 for the 2 lumen and 2.49 for the 6 lumen.
I may just have to order some. I got few 194's flaking out needing replacement anyway.

Although white leds would make the colors more vibrant.
All I'm looking to do is NOT have to tear into the dash again. That's why I want to get all LED's for the new cluster before I put it in. I thought about changing the colors, but I actually like the stock green.
