Alright Im right in the middle of installing my power locks and Im tryin to figure out how to connect the rod to the lock itself? I know its something small Im missing... How do they connect? All I have is a rod.

There should be a clamp with two alien or phillips head screws. look at the second pic from the top in this link....Link

Ya I def. didnt have that clamp......I had to invent one lol. Thanks for the help you guys. Now my last question is where is the best place to run the wire for the parking lights? I cant figure in my head where to tap into them.

If the module is a pos output for the park lamp flash and doesn’t require a separate relay you could splice into the park lamp wiring (should be a brown wire) behind the light switch in the dash.

 

The actuators just keep on locking and unlocking constantly. I ran my wires up to the actual corner lights themselves.

 

What does POS mean? lol I know Im electrically retarted. ^^Now thats what I was thinking about doing but once again what wire?
I cant think what in the world would make them lock and unlock constantly though thats crazy man

 

A Positive output rated to drive the park lamp circuit without using a separate relay (It has a built in relay).

 

Oh ok...well that I cant say I know but maybe I will just try to run it to that wire...its just a plain wire. From what I read I thoght it was saying run it straight to the lights but that didnt make much sense to me.

Did you ever try manually jumping them yet? The reason I ask is it will rule out a bad actuator or wiring mistake up to the control module.

 

No not yet, I've been crazy busy lately, hopefully I'll have truck mod time tomorrow, I gotta a couple things I gotta finish up. I think the problem is how the actuators were mounted, but I'll check the actuators tomorrow.

 

In affect you are running it to the lights. Your just splicing in at the headlight switch wiring harness saving you from having to run a wire back out into the engine compartment.

when connecting the connectors to the old rod...puch the old rod down as low as it goes and then the new rod the same to the accuator is down in the unlock possition... connect it tight and see if they are both just not conncect on the down possition....it may be that you don't have a good angle with the accuator. the instructions from my a1 electronics were very helpfull, but I did have somone else read them as well so two heads were better then one. good luck!!!! I had to go back a few times and change things around to make it work better.
