Used 35" BFG's mounted on the Ranger!!!

Well, here 'tis!

Street there is no problem. I'll be testing flex later on today to see how it works. I might have to trim a smidgeon off the flares -- but it's hard to tell. There is no rubbing lock to lock in normal driving.

It feels and looks AWESOME. I took it around to show all the guys who helped me with the axle buildup and all. Also, my traction bars are modified to fit and I'll post on that later.

Judge for yourself for now. I'll let you know how the testing goes.

That was part of the point of the axle buildup, thanks. I figured the bigger tires needed stronger shafts and lower gears. It actually feels now about like it did with the 4.10's and the 31's. So 4.56 and 35's is not a bad combination, overall.

Nah, Will -- it's a sun shot and the contrast with the white truck is so high it looks really black is all. It's a stock grill. That is a custom black and silver emblem on it that Buckgnarly (Carl) made for me 2 years ago.

Ha ha! Yes -- but that's what the sliders are for, lol!

Thanks for the comments -- I'm so excited even fender trimming now seems worth it if I have to do it. Wish I know more about fiberglass -- I'd love to make some kind of custom flares. Now, who do I know around here that can do that stuff?...

The grounds uneven there and so is the photographer. Look at the axle in the rear shot and you can see it's at a slight angle also. The truck sits pretty level on level ground. Very slightly nose-high, but if I can use clearance ANYWHERE, it's in the front.

Thanks all for the comments. As "bad ***" as it may look, it still has to perform and that is yet to be seen. As I say though, actual fender trimming is now on the table if required.

No. Actually if feels fine. The BFG's don't corner like my Coopers did though -- I already broke the back loose on the street with too much throttle on a turn. The traction bars are going back on today (pics of their mod later) so that will help that some. The RSX shocks feel great with the heavier parts on the truck. It actually feels smoother overall.

But I haven't worked up to REALLY cornering it yet. Still, I'm willing to trade off some street handling for the ground clearance and H.O.W. (Height Over Water) for Wharton...

those bad boys look like they will float you over the water hazards at Wharton
if you make it Saturday I can see them in person, at least for the Atsion Ranger station send off
looks like I am getting up at the C.O.D. and heading to TbarCya's for my sliders....

hmmmm.... the wheels are turning (probably the reason for the burning smell)
If I enter Wharton at Atsion and exit at Batstow Village that technically is on the way to Atlantic City......

I'm taking Friday off this week, Neil, to do Wharton and taking Tom my spare axle so he can use it to test fit his disc brake brackets. If you can get off somehow we could expand it to THREE trucks, lol!
