Changed the oil in the diesel today.

Changed it for the second time today. Went 6,000 miles on this stuff last time and it came out looking like oil still, not quite as black as I would've expected. I'll keep using this stuff for sure, the extra cost is worth it for the 6.0.

You should see the new diesel fluid thats in the BRAND new stuff, they took out a new powerstroke the other day, forgot to drain it and it was ALL OVER the floor, must have been like 5 gallons.

The oil capacity of the 6.7l is 13 quarts or 3 gallons and 1 quart. 2 quarts less than the 6.0l.

Good deal on the oil. My buddy had a 01 Ram 2500 Cummins and everytime he changed the oil it came out looking as clean as it went in.

You rookies! Gonna hit 280,000km this week (174,000 miles) . . . hope she makes it!

I run 15-40 T3 Rotella in mine, now that the 5L jugs are the same price as the old 4L jugs, it's a good savings. May switch to synthetic for this next change with the new injectors, if I get this damn oil pan/dip-stick tube leak figured.

LOL 174k on a 7.3L is baby miles. She's still just a toddler. You can get 400k+ out of that motor with regular maintenance.

255k on my 1997 7.3, changed all the fluids when I bought it. I find oil for $16.99 for 2.5 gallon jugs. Keep my changes around the $40 mark. You might as well get your gear oil in a 2.5 jug to save a few bucks.

Well hell, O'reilly's had this stuff for $16.99 a gallon last time I bought it, unfortunately they've gone up to $24.99 a gallon. Cost roughly $125 for an oil change with me doing it myself.
