Yep, they seem problematic. I was keeping an eye out for a used manual slider to swap in but gave up for the most part. There are some on ebay if you later decided you had to have a slider.

No no, I don't have a rear slider at all. It is a solid panel with defroster strips. I was looking into getting a power slider but read a lot of bad things about them (plus they are spendy).
Are the banks air filter oiled? I don't like oiled filters myself.
If it were me, I would get a Volant intake with dry filter, MBRP single catback exhaust and a gryphon tuner. But the intake/exhaust stuff is just preference mostly. You probably aren't gaining a whole lot with an intake either, but it sure cleans up the engine compartment. lol
I'm not sure what the actual gains are with the gryphon (I am sure there are dyno plots out there) but ask anyone who has a tuned F150 and they will tell you it is worth it. It is a very noticeable gain in overall power, drive-ability, shifting, it just seems to get power to the ground much better. Mine is tuned by another company but you'll see the same type of improvements with the gryphon tuner.
Otherwise, I wouldn't bother much with the engine unless you are going crazy with a supercharger or something.
Definitely replace the brake pads if they are stock (they dust like crazy).

yeah, I have heard the roush off road personally and absolutly LOVE the sound.. Super loud and mean sounding.. i have heard really good things about the banks intake.. not sure if it is oiled or not..
brian, how much of a difference do you think the 35's make? in power/gas mileage?

If you get a tuner though go with the Volant with the Powercore. I personally don't like the oiled filters and the powercore is the only non-oiled filter with a closed box system. The S&B is nice too but the filter is oiled. The MBRP exhaust is great, its not as loud as a lot of the others but it has a really nice rumble at idle and will roar when you get on it which is exactly what I was personally looking for. From what I've heard from Zach the Banks kit is pretty much the same way.
Don't get a intake without the Gryphon though, on the 04-06 it can cause it to run really lean.

For me the tuner and exhaust kind of cancel out the loss by the 35s. I didn't really notice any difference with the intake but higher temps around town (with the Airaid) so I got rid of it. Exhaust I got just for sound but didn't really notice any performance either (I had it before the tuner). With the tuner I noticed a huge difference, just the change in shift points and the length of the gears makes it so much nicer to drive. Very very happy with the Gryphon, if I were to get anything it would be that.

I get 12-15mpg depending on driving and season. Mostly in town during the winter is closer to 12mpg. I also idle quite a bit using the truck battery to power the fuel trailer for our helicopter, as well as let it warm up a few minutes on cold mornings. I drive mostly 2 lane roads and pass a lot. On the highway I get closer to 15mpg. Seems like I was able to get closer to 17mph highway before the 35's.
The tuner helps make up for 35s quite a bit, but if you are doing much mountain driving it will downshift more. I don't mind it here (and you will be fine in Florida) but when I get back to Oregon I will probably notice a bit more.
The truck rides great with bilsteins and 35s.
