Stick shift ****

hi there. the threads are stripped on the stick shift **** on my 97 Ranger. most ***** i've seen were threaded on by a regular type thread like 1/4?NC? Anyway, need to know if i am missing pieces or if this is a common problem? How can I fix it?

I'm pretty sure your truck doesn't have threads for the shift ****. its a spline and key deal.
you can fix it with glue, if you don't plan on taking it out again.

Epoxy, i think they acutally make some for that specific application. should be able to get it at Home Depot or Lowes.
