2.3 L firing order
I have a '01 2.3 ranger that has been down for a while with a blown head gasket and I can't rem. how the plug wires coming out of the power pack to the plugs were arranged. Any help will be appreciated.
If it is the factory coil pack there will be numbers next to the post.
2.0 / 2.3 / 2.5 Firing Orders
2.0L and 1983 - 1988 2.3L Engines
Firing Order: 1-3-4-2
Distributor Rotation: Clockwise
1989–97 2.3L and 1998-01 2.5L Engines
Firing Order: 1–3–4–2
Distributorless Ignition
2.0 / 2.3 / 2.5 Firing Orders
2.0L and 1983 - 1988 2.3L Engines
Firing Order: 1-3-4-2
Distributor Rotation: Clockwise
1989–97 2.3L and 1998-01 2.5L Engines
Firing Order: 1–3–4–2
