my son just put new heads on my 99 xlt 4x4 and we cant get the firing order right or we dont have something right.
the truck trys to start but wont.
can any one help us

 

all inline 4's have the same firing order 1342 from the forward most cylinder being #1 and then so on. easy check the DIS and see if the wires are on the correct coil and see if the are going to the correct plug. and FYI and 4 banger only has one head not (heads)

 

I-4 firing order = 1342
V-6 firing order = 142536

I-4 cylinder numbering = 1234 front to rear
V-6 cylinder numbering PS = 123 front to rear
V-6 cylinder numbering DS = 456 front to rear
