I need the firing order on the coil pack.
I've been trying to get these plug wires to work for almost 30 mins and I can't get them to act right. I know the firing order on the block is:
3-6
2-5
1-4
but what about on the coil? Anyone else had this problem? It's back-firing, missing, shaking like crazy. Any help is appreciated.

I wonder if that's looking at it sitting in it or standing infront of it. I know mine definitely has 4-6 on the passenger side of the coil and 1-3 on the driver's side of the coil. I'm just confused at the order. This sucks, I've had this happen before and it died while driving it to get some help.

The firing order is 1-4-2-5-3-6, so the cylinder pairs are those that come on compression 360 degrees apart. I don't know how the 3 coils and their 6 secondary wires are laid out but you may be able to figure it out but matching the cylinder pairs of each coil to the primary color code of the PCM ground trigger.
1 and 5, primary trigger = tan/white
2 and 6, primary trigger = tan/light green
3 and 4, primary trigger = tan/orange
(The red wire is common and goes to the hot side of all three coils.)

Yes, I see the diagram but I'm telling you I've worked on a 1994 3.0 that was set up like that but my 2005 3.0 is definitely 4-6 on the passenger side and 1-3 on the drivers side, I am 100% sure on that. I forget the year that it changed but I've seen the thread on here and can't find it now. It wouldn't run if I had the sides switched up because it wouldn't get any spark to "push" it through the misfires.
Bob, most of the time I can get the general idea of your rays of golden knowledge but this one has gone over my head, may be the frustration having my mind on other things.

Ford always has #1 on the passenger side front(assuming you are NOT in England, lol), but in all vehicles left and right are determined by looking forward from the rear of the vehicle, in US left is drivers side and right is passenger side
So for Fords
V8
4 8
3 7
2 6
1 5
V6
3 6
2 5
1 4
Chevy(GM) does it different, they use Odd and Even
V8
7 8
5 6
3 4

V6

All multi-cylinder engines need to be balanced, you can find out how its balanced by using the firing order
Ford V6s(all) use this firing order 1-4-2-5-3-6
You split firing order in half and put 1 half above the other
1-4-2-
5-3-6
So 1/5 are matched pairs, they are both at TDC at the same time
As are 3/4 and 2/6
So now the coil pack wiring might make some sense
3 4
2 6
1 5
