Accident Mod...
Well Its about time I post this.
Febuary 9th 2007, the night I almost lost my ranger.
Story Time.....
<RANT>
I use to work in a night club here in Winnipeg as a bouncer. It was called the Off Campus or OC. Anyway its about 3:00am on a Saturday morning and we're just getting off work. I'm driving and all of a sudden BAM! This son of a ***** rams into the back of my truck. My truck 180's and gets hurled up on the curb. Now we where all going out to eat so all of the other bouncers are following me.
They get out of their cars and run to the van that hit me. Its some punk and a bunch of his friends we kicked out of the bar earlier on in the night for being too drunk.
I asked one of my friends to call the cops so I could get a Breathalyzer done to prove he was drunk. We exchange info and the cops show up.
1st one on the scene is a supervisor that I deal with on a regular basis, first thought 'this isn't good'. I ask him to give him the test, he tells me he doesn't have a a unit in his car. He calls for another and leaves. Thats fine, but the unit he calls refuses to give him a test.
Night ends with me being pissed off and having to catch a ride home with one of my friends. It doesn't end their though.
In Manitoba we all are required to use 1 insurance agent. MPI. And they say I'm at fault. Apparently he told them I pulled out of a side street in front of him. Anyway I'll spare you all the legal mumbo jumbo. took him to court, etc, etc, etc. Nothing, I'm still at fault.
</RANT>
But here I am a year later, feeling great. And I still have my Ranger.
For those of you who are curious I payed $23,000 for my ranger not 6 months before this. Repair bill was $14,000
