But luckily my truck surrvived... I think

I was heading to work during the nice torrents of rain. I was stopping at a red light and BAM! Took it in the rear. So of course we pulled off to the side of the road and the guy who hit me sh** himself when I got out of my truck in uniform (thought he rear ended a cop car ). I LOOKED AT MY REAR AND NOT EVEN A SCRATCH! No mind you it is dark and pooring down rain so I will get a better look at it in the morn when I am done work tonight (sitting in the office right now doing dispatch w/ one hell of a headache and back ache!). Gotta love the DUFF stuff... Strong as hell!
As for him... Well he needed a tow... My rear drop hitch went throught his grill just to the right of center... It plowed a perfect 5" wide path throught his grill, radiator... Throught the intake... throught the manifault and then ended in the firewall after passing throught his master cylinder... I WISH I HAD MY CAMMERA to get pics of HIS car! He said he was sliding on the wet road which I can believe figuring it was raining like an inch an hour!! I ended up getting his info from the PSP and gave him a ride home... His car is pretty much thrashed...

NOW for what damage I did find.... hmm let me look.... I got some of his sheet metal pieces on my hitch and lots of silver paint!!

Actually.. Now my steering wheel is at the 7 and 3 possition instead of being at the 9 and 3... The truck still drive straight so I figure in the impact I must have twisted the wheel to far? Any ideas if that can be fixed or what else may have caused the wheel to turn like that?

Glad you're ranger is ok :) I should probably get a hitch too. Although In my accident, instead of just bumping into the other truck and damaging my stepside corner/bumper, I probably woulda done a few k of damage to her truck :(.

Even if you don't tow anything, a trailer hitch is a great defensive weapon!!

Well looked over the truck real well and.... (DRUM ROLL) I bent a leaf springs... May have even bent the spring perch.. He hit me going around 30 I come to find out and now the truck is in to assess any farther damage to him!!! JUST CAN NOT WIN SOMETIMES!!!

God I need a hitch ball, I got the hitch, i just need the ball and 2-3 inch drop reciever. This weekend we had one of the biggest rain storms in a long time. My street turned into a creek until the rain stopped.
