Aftermarket exhaust system with either BL or SL....

Ok... I've got a custom Flowmaster 40 series single-in dual-out cat back system.

I also want to get either a BL or minor SL (add-a-leaf or shackles for the rear, torsion bar crank in front). Will the exhaust get in the way for either type of lift?

Thankz.

suspension, no. body lift it will just hang lower. if you get shackles ill go there and cut them with a sawzall. get an AAL instead.

My tips are like ^^^ except they are bent 45 degrees and exit right behind the rear tires.

Sounds like AAL is the best way to go?

shackles will push your tires forward closer to the bedside and it looks stupid. i had them for a while and thats why my tires got destroyed at the dunes. if the shackles weren't there i wouldn't of rubbed where it did

My tailpipe hit the leaf spring after I did shackles/AAL on my truck. I just modified the exhaust hanger to pull it a little tighter toward the middle though and no problems since.

This is why i went with a 1" BL instead of the 3"--I'd love the extra clearance and height, but I wasn't willing to give up my Bassani or have a huge gap to the bedside.

Makes sense that shackles would change the wheel base. I'll pass.

Thanks--I love it. You should've heard it at 5500RPM on this:

DynoJet at Carlise Ford Nats in June.
