Spare tire with a body lift
I was just wondering how you guys get to your spare tire after you have installed a body lift. I want to just take mine out all together, since my 35" spare is not going to go up under the truck. I should have thought about this before I finished the lift and took it out then but I didn't and now I wanna get it out. I really don't want to take the rear bumper off because its in a good postion and it was a PITA to get it lined up just right.

I took mine off, because the 33" won't fit up there anyway. I now have my full size spare on my roof rack.
You could always drill a hole behind the license plate, or through it for that matter, but it would look g-hetto. If you wanted to be tricky, go to the junk yard, and look for an old Monte Carlo or simular, that had a hinged license plate. Bolt that on with some self tapping screw, and put a hole behind it... Just a thought though.

EDIT: Sorry, I took too long to write the note, and you posted it before me... Stupid work getting in the way again... :o)

It took me forever to get the bumper all lined up(maybe I was being ****) but i was trying to see if there was any other way to get the spare down without taking the bumper off. Sounds like the hole already in the bumper might just work.

i think just up to the 32" stock fx4 bfg tires, anything 33+ i dont think fits, i belive the stockers are 29" 245's that is..
technically you can fit bigger, but it will look stupid cause it wont fit snug in the hole like yer stock one, also i think there are exhuast problems, it hits it or somthn
