Brand new f150- $34K otd
Mods and maintance ~ $10K to this day. Still a long way to go haha
What the hell was I thinking when I signed up at 17 for a $560 truck payment! No handouts here though! Working two jobs in high school now one good one and going to college full time. While footing the bills day in day out. This degree can not come soon enough!

I bought my truck in 07 for $3500 (RIP OFF!) thinking that it had a motor with only about 60K miles on it. Invested probably almost $3000 into engine repairs, and another $1200 into just maintenance and aesthetic items.
I plan on doing even more to it that will probably cost me around another $7000 maybe more, maybe less. So when I'm all said and done, I am probably going to be looking at 12-15K into it.
Not to mention I've spent way too much on DD's. Dodge was $4000 with a **** ton of stuff done to it, and now my new truck is even more than that and it's not even where I want it to sit.

I started a project with my new truck since I bought it just a few weeks ago. I have an empty shoebox that I put [U]every single receipt[U] that contains truck parts in. This way, when my build is finished (years from now) I can look back and see how I drained all my money away just to be a bada**. Oh well, a sacrifice I am willing to make.

$ 9,950 sales price
$ 900 for a 3 year extended warranty
$ 150 Kobalt Toolbox
$ 450 for new tires
I'm not gonna count oil changes, wiper blades, wax, etc.....
$ 11,450. Total
I put $1,700 down , and took out a 5 year payment plan for $219.60 a month, I've got 27 more payments to make and it'll be paid off.
This was a 2003 Ranger XLT with air, automatic transmission and factory bed liner, purchased in 2007, with 31,500 miles on it, in very good condition.
The plan was to buy a nice truck with low mileage, pay it off in 5 years, and drive it payment free for another 5 years.....so far I'm right on track.

Paid $1930 for my ranger on ebay 4 years ago.....
Put about $1700 parts/labor into her over the last 4 years......
Looks like ****, but is the perfect winter beater......lots of small problems.....but runs great......this will hopefully be my last winter with her......time to get an older Tundra.
