Did the Rubicon Mod today...adios Ranger

I'll miss the little Ranger, but he's long gone now. Drove my 2009 Rubicon home today. It's got front and rear Dana 44s, E-lockers front and rear, electronic sway bar disconnects, bfg m/ts, rock sliders, Rubicon shocks, and the general appearance package. It's a 6speed manual, 4:1 4-lo, it's ready to rock and roll off road!

Very nice! I didn't like the way the 06 drove when i test drove it but it would have been a beast offroad!

Time for some action pics!

Looks sharp.
The white looks great against the black accents.

Looks great. I would consider a Heep as well, but I would want the tried and true 4.0, not that new 3.8.

Damn you lucky SOB. I have been eying up a couple of 04-05's here with the 4.0. Only problem I have found is that the "D-44" is actually a hybrid D-30. The ring gear/pinion are a D-30, while the outers and shafts are 44.

Any plans on a lift?

gonna get your girl in daisy dukes, high heels, and a low cut top for us?? you know, take the rubicon decals off, replace them with 'Daisy', spray bomb the wheels gold, and put on a golden eagle on the hood??? Get her to pose? eh?

sorry...got a little creepy there for a second.

I freakin' love JK's and TJ's. If only they still were running the trusty faithful 4.0L inline....or at least an updated version of it. I'd totally own a JK w/ the 'hemi'.

Bring on the body lifted FX4 bubba, i'll show you a "just an SUV" only a 4:1 4-lo, locked front and rear, and factory M/Ts. I'd think it's up to the task..Only problem is you gotta be careful where to steer the wheels on the Rubicons...because it'll go where the wheels are headed

Anyway thanks and FX4wannabe, that got kinda creepy lol.

I'll be around here to sell off a couple left over Ranger parts, then I'm off to the land of Jeeps!

lol......umm....i already know....mr. bodylifted fx4 is gonna get his *** kicked. lol.

He may have the jeep on a speed challenge on the street, but 4:1 low compared to what 2.50:1 low.....plus dual lockers versus limited slip and open.....do the math.

*I was referencing Daisy Duke's CJ-7. lol.

Hemi JK is just plain sick. But really the 3.8L moves this thing just fine. It's got 4.10s in it, 32s, 6spd, and it drives fine. It's no race car, it's not the slowest thing either. Moves it fine, with a lifetime powertrain warranty, it's alright with me if it isn't as bulletproof as the 4.0....because my *** will be gettin a free engine

I was hesitant on the 3.8L, but I'm pleasantly surprised..
