Did the Rubicon Mod today...adios Ranger
Here ya go
'ol ranger would never even get up on this rock. Just let the clutch out in 4-low and went up. No throttle lol

This may not look that steep, but figuring how close the rear bumper is at the angle..it's a pretty good one. Could have easily slept there the incline was good enough haha. Again didn't really try to get "up" it because it just crested. So i just locked the axles and rode up a little bit

i challange you to a duel, once i lose my spool that is haha
You'll be back to the land of fords once the Jeep stuff starts breaking
"It was a Jeep thing, then all that **** broke".. best bumper sticker ever.
my only issue with the lockers is HAVING to be in low to engage them.. granted i spend all my time in 2wd or low.. some people like the mud and it would be nice to be in high locked up for that.
including right onto its lid?
I don't mind jeeps(just the stupid short WB) its the snooby owners that annoy the **** outa me, but i have come across a bunch of cool ones. I'll have to hit ya up once i get my dream and take a week or 2 off work to head West and wheel.
IIRC I made this hill(after a few tries, generous amounts of right foot, and persuasion cause the jeep at the top was going to get his strap and back up) this guy almost flopped with a war vet and his family in the jeep.

2.34*(?)
Bring on the body lifted FX4 bubba, i'll show you a "just an SUV"
only a 4:1 4-lo, locked front and rear, and factory M/Ts. I'd think it's up to the task..Only problem is you gotta be careful where to steer the wheels on the Rubicons...because it'll go where the wheels are headed
Anyway thanks and FX4wannabe, that got kinda creepy lol.
I'll be around here to sell off a couple left over Ranger parts, then I'm off to the land of Jeeps!

Eh, im over dealing with Rangers really. I'll play with the Jeep for awhile. There will ALWAYs be pros and cons to things, things one vehicle can do, that another wont. You can modify the wiring so you can work them whenever, thats no big deal.
I like you're Ranger, probably a great rig. Just not my style anymore.

haha, yea i wasn't meaning to start anything just messin around. It was the line he took, all the shorter wheel base trucks wanted to go up high to the left (sitting in the truck) then swing in.. all to avoid a puddle that was 6" deep TOPS.. i saw an Xterra almost go over in the same spot, front left tire off the ground and all.. sad thing is it would have gone, none of us were close enough to grab it
If i had a chance to get an LJ i would build one of those, a TJ or 2 door JK is just too short for me, i like the stability of the longer wheelbase. and i also agree, nothing in the production world will ever be good enough, hell a ranger is one of the worst platforms to start with if you ask me.. atleast it has a frame.
