I'd use some zip-ties. All the drifters use them so when they smack there lip on something the zip-ties break and not there lip. Diffrent thing with use truck guys but same idea.

I'd take some 1/8" - 3/16" thick metal strips, figure out a way to cover the position of 2 or 3 holes at a time, drill holes in the strips to match the stock mounting locations and then put it back on. You'd have to make sure that you've got it tight every once in a while to make sure you're not going to loose the plastic lip, but it would work.

You're welcome. Another thought -if the lip isn't too screwed up, you could also use larger washers around the bolts to hold it up. That would help to keep you from trying to find the metal strips. Good luck with whatever you try.

did something similar after i removed mine to be painted. some of the mounting locations where fcuked, so i used a combination of self tapping screws, zipties and the original mounts (that where not pouched). just drill a small pilot hole and screw it up with the self tapping screws. zipties to get it nice and tight where it looked off and your done. use some washers with the self tapping screw to help the plastic not break around the head. if you can use a few of the original mounting locations and hardware, it will help you align everything so it wont look like a dog chewed on it.

How about fiberglassing.

I took my grill and enclosure off of my truck to paint the grill, cracked the enclosure in two placed.
Sanded, applied fiberglass and all new again, so far anyway.

Fiberglass is great, it adheres to almost anything with a well prepared surface, can be molded, easily sanded and accepts bondo as a skim-coat, what more do you need.
You can even in-bed a piece of metal for reinforcement.

luck

imho, leave it off... that looks pretty good from this angle... lets see from ahead, farther back... the opening in the bottom kinda gives it an aftermarket ricer body kit look... maybe fill the holes with a little bit of fiber from behind...
