Looking for Exhaust ideas/help

Hey Y'all. I got a 4.0 fx4 and going to start doing some research on exhaust pipes. I've already been told to go with X-pipes with no cat. Any brands or opinions that i should look into? How do some of them sound? Any help or opinion is helpful.

the cats are high flow and help the world, its easier to do a cat back. Cheaper too.

as for an X, unless its a 8v or boosted a single out is plenty. I reccomend MBRP, love their pipes, they dont sound ricey at all.

Cut the flange after the last cat, weld up some pipe to it, I believe it's 2.5" and go with whatever muffler you like! I went with the Flowmaster 40, it's not loud, but it's proud!

I went with magnaflow off-road pro series. I really like it and people always say they like the sound of it (people I know walking by, passengers in the car). I really like it as well.

i love my magnaflow, has a very nice smooth sound. i have heard flowmasters as well, they seem to be consistently louder and have a harsher tone. still sound very good

I have a Thrush Welded (their version of a Flowmaster 40 series), and 2.25" tail pipe. Sounds a little more aggressive than stock. Can't hear it at cruising speed. I like it.

So my exhaust fell off on the way to work today. Thank you new England winters. I am now searching for a new one. Apperantly they have been discontinued in the local chain stores. Lol.
