Check the caliper and make sure that all the bolts are tight, remove the caliper and check the pads and the caliper mounting bracket bolts.

Yeah I remember when Toms caliper fell off in Centrailia. Turns out the tow hook bolts are the same as the caliper bolts. When the caliper falls off it drags on the wheel and will rip a hole in it then.

i'm off topic as well, but i noticed when driving on the ice that when my brakes locked up they were really jerky. i could feel it through the brake petal and the floorboard. maybe some anti-lock computor huh....

i don't have a clue whats would cause yours tho bro :P

mine lost a caliper bolt too, right after I finished my lift.

I didn't put loc-tite on it though

But I did after it happened!!!

I've had it happen twice. I put loc-tite on it after the 1st time & it still happened.

Personally I always wash my truck very carefully, get the powerwasher in every nook and cranny and then if the noise I heard previously is still there, then I get under the truck!!

EDIT: I see you got it, NEVERMIND, jeez lol

Loc-Tite will not help if you don't also properly torque the bolts. The factory bolts are metric Class 10.9 and the torque spec is 85 lb-ft.

Sorry, guys, the factory-installed bolts don't fall out. It happens after they have been disturbed and improperly reassembled. If you don't have a torque wrench and/or don't care about torque specs, you shouldn't be working on anything important ... like brakes.

i have had mine out countless times for the lift, brake replacement etc... and always torque them to ~85ftlbs and haven't had issues.
