as much as i want a trans am, finding one at a dealer will be impossible since most car dealerships won't carry vehicles that old.

and i cant sell my truck and buy a private party vehicle.

i dont want a GTO, because despite the choice between ls1/ls2. it looks like a big overweight cavalier.

whats my other option. DING DING DING 05+ GT.

how do you guys feel now about me getting rid of my truck?

because at least that way i can find one at a dealership, trade my truck in for a fairly good amount, and not have to pay much on a stang.

i've sene 07's with a manual and cloth seats going for like 16k with only 20k miles on it.

so we'll see how that pans out... :)

EDIT: i'll also add. i started out owning my ranger just to have a 4x4 truck. i nearly despised ford. but knew that made pretty good vehicles. after having this ford truck for the last year, beating the **** out of it, putting amost 25k miles on it in a year. it hasnt given me ONE SINGLE problem. nothing. i've done nothing other then normal maintenance on the truck. that has to say something. i'd imagine the mustangs are just as tough...

I'm sorry but it doesn't look like a Cavalier. I would rather have the GTO. The interior is roomy and comfortable something the Mustang is not known for. Speaking of Mustangs everyone has one. I also personally like the LS engines over the modular engines.

 

My brother in law has an 06 GTO. It has the 6 speed manual transmission and runs pretty good. Jumping out of my 5.4L Super Duty into his car... it feels like that car has rockets instead of wheels. haha

 

the ls2 gto's are great. and i would maybe consider one of those. but the ls1 gto is slower then the t/a and most likely a bit slower then the 05+ gt's imo

 

Good job Ty. Like we talked about the other night I love ws6's just as much, but the damn things are hard to find now a days. I'd say a ls2 GTO or a 05+ stang is a great choice.

 

yeah definitely. im really starting to lean towards the mustang a lot. i've been watching tons of vids. and wow. headers with boomtubes sounds AMAZING

eek, back to fbody.

Drove the blue one i posted a while back. It was my first time driving a stick basically. I drove one when i was 15. but only once. i did pretty well. only stalled it the first time because i didnt have a feel for the stiff *** clutch.
the car SCREAMS. its in perfect condition, and has everything i want, all the way down to the color and traction control.

spins all the way through second, and feels way faster then the 06 GT i rode in that had intake and exhaust. just wow. i have now listed the truck at 15k obo. once it sells, that trans am is mine :)

 

Boooo! I wasnt following your other thread but did you ever sell the Grand Prix? Nevermind... I just looked at your sig. Sell the Grand Prix then buy the Fbody. Or buy the Fbody then sell the GP.

 

grand prix should be gone this weekend. and i want the truck gone too. becuase once i get the trans am, i'll never drive the truck
