I'd just like to say...

That the stopping power of my truck with 33's sucks. Anybody else feel that stock brakes with larger tires/wheels really sucks?

Mine's not too bad considering, but I believe I am due for new front brakes. You cant really expect a small truck designed for 27-31" tires to stop great with a heavier 33" tire though.

I don't have any troubles like that.

Same here. I never really realized how much my brakes suck until I got my license. I try to brake early in hopes maybe making my brakes last a while.

Same here. I go slow through town. Saving brakes>getting places on time

I plan on upgrading my front brakes this summer with some EBC stuff and I'll hopefully be doing the rear disc swap also.

When I switched to 31s I've noticed that issue as well. Since I'm a 2000 I4 I have the dinky 10 inch rotors and I can't even lock my front tires now. It's ridiculous. Luckily I inherited 10 inch drums when I did my rear end swap so the back brakes wayyy better now. I really wish I would have gotten the 2001+ 11 inch brake spindles when I got my lift spindles. Oh well hopefully disc brake swap and switching to EBC rotors and yellow stuff pads will help.

Same. Downshifting can run pads well into the 100k range.

Yeah I was gonna say Korey switched to EBC rotors and yellow stuff pads and he loves them. That's what I want to run. Since you are 2002 you also have the 11 inch rotors like he does, it would be pricey but you could switch to 2003 1/2+ 12 inch rotors which would help.

Disc brake swap would help a ton, I guess 33s and 35s like to bust drum hardware anyway so that's probably not a bad idea.

UPgrade pads and you'll see a world a difference. Also normal maintenance like bleeding and keeping up with the rears can also make a difference.

P.S. Cobras brake really stop your truck. espically when its a tiny truck lyke mine. lulululul.
